‘While breastfeeding may not seem like the right choice for every parent, it is the best choice for every baby.’ – Amy Spangler
CBFC is a grant funded program through the New York State Department of Health aimed at increasing breastfeeding initiation, exclusivity and duration in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Warren and Washington Counties.
Goals for the Project:
Since breastmilk is the optimal food for infants, local professionals and residents have teamed up to strengthen and expand breastfeeding initiation and duration rates within our community. The coalition’s goal is to ensure all mothers have the information, guidance, and support needed to breastfeed their baby.
Coalition partners include: Clinton County Health Department, Behavioral Health Services North, Child Care Coordinating Council, University of Vermont Health Network-CVPH, Plattsburgh Primary Care Health Partners, and community members. Please contact us at (518) 565-4993 for more information. We are always looking for others to join!
