COVID-19 Vaccine

Not vaccinated yet? There are currently three vaccines available in the US. All three (Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson) have been proven safe and effective.

Until we can reach community immunity, or herd immunity, COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere. That means at least 75% of Clinton County residents getting vaccinated.

Clinton County Health Department Clinics 

CCHD offers COVID-19 vaccination clinics every Thursday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at 133 Margaret St. in Plattsburgh. Currently, CCHD offers Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccine at each clinic. If you received your first doses at another agency, you are eligible to receive your second dose at CCHD.

CCHD is now also able to offer third dose vaccination to those eligible individuals, regardless of where the first two doses were administered. The CDC recommends that people with moderately to severely compromised immune systems receive an additional dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days after a second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Having symptoms like fever after you get a COVID-19 vaccine is normal and a sign your immune system is learning to fight the virus. Learn more by visiting  www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/expect/after.html

Lost your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card?

Don’t worry! You can download your record right to your phone. Visit https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/excelsior-pass to download the Excelsior Pass. You can also get a copy of your vaccination record from your primary care physician, this includes data for all immunizations entered into the New York State Immunization System. Want a new card? Try your pharmacy – they may be able to replace a lost card.
